Soccer Recap: Miramonte Has No Trouble Against Acalanes

After losing to Acalanes the last time they met, Miramonte decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Miramonte Matadors put the hurt on the Acalanes Dons with a sharp 5-2 victory on Saturday. The Matadors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

They hit Acalanes with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sadie Leal-Schuman (2), Katrina White, Olivia Penney, and Avrey Freer.

Miramonte's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three games. As for Acalanes, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miramonte will take on Las Lomas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miramonte is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season. As for Acalanes, they will face off against College Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
