Football Recap: DeLaSalle Takes a Loss

DeLaSalle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 54-8 defeat at the hands of the Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights. While losing is never fun, the Islanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Red Knights are ranked 132nd).

DeLaSalle's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Benilde-St. Margaret's, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. DeLaSalle will face off against rival Academy of Holy Angels at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Benilde-St. Margaret's is set to take on their familiar foe Blake/Hope Academy/Minnehaha Academy/St. Paul Academy-Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
