Meanwhile, Monticello came up short against Bloomington Central Catholic on Thursday and fell 2-0. The Sages have struggled against the Saints recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19.

Tri-Valley's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 14-1 and their overall record down to 25-9. As for Monticello, their loss dropped their record down to 22-14.
