Basketball Game Preview: Bisbee Pumas vs. The Gregory School Hawks

Bisbee and The Gregory School are an even 4-4 against one another since November of 2014, but not for long. The Bisbee Pumas just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face The Gregory School Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bisbee will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Bisbee will head into Thursday's matchup hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 24-point drubbing they dealt St. Augustine Catholic on Thursday. Bisbee blew past St. Augustine Catholic 56-32.

Meanwhile, The Gregory School came up short against Baboquivari on Wednesday and fell 48-40. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bisbee is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for The Gregory School, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 13-10.

Bisbee lost to The Gregory School on the road by a decisive 62-46 margin in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. Can Bisbee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
