Basketball Recap: Redbank Valley Piles Up the Points Against Kane

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Redbank Valley walked away with it. They blew past the Kane Wolves, posting a 65-33 win. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Redbank Valley was led to victory by Mylee Harmon and Adyson Bond. Harmon almost dropped a double-double with 27 points and nine rebounds, while Bond went 9-for-14 on her way to 20 points and three steals. Harmon has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 19 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kira Bonanno, who posted eight points and nine boards.

Redbank Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They are 16-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Kane lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Addison Haight, who scored ten points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Alexa Olmstead was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Redbank Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.7 points. Kane's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.

Coming up, Redbank Valley will welcome Port Allegany at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Redbank Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.3 points per game this season. As for Kane, they will square off against Keystone at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
