Shawnee Mission East won the last time they faced Lawrence and Jack Reeves did his part to make sure it happened again. The Lancers came out on top against the Lions by a score of 28-20 on Friday for which the team can thank Reeves, who rushed for 274 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards.
Lawrence lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tahj Edwards, who rushed for 110 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. Another player making a difference was Joey Dooley, who rushed for 40 yards and one score.
