Volleyball Recap: Texas Falls Despite Big Games from Taryne Stiger and Sydney Woods + How To Watch

If Texas was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Nacogdoches on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers came up short against the Hallsville Bobcats on Friday, falling 3-0. The Tigers have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-19, 25-19.

Texas' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sydney Woods, who had 16 digs, and Taryne Stiger, who had six digs.

Leading Hallsville to victory were Lyla Evans and Ariana Phenix. Evans had ten digs and one assist, while Phenix had six digs and one assist. That's the most digs Phenix has posted since back in August.

Texas' defeat dropped their record down to 18-15. As for Hallsville, they pushed their record up to 24-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
