Soccer Game Preview: Frederick vs. Mead + Official Tickets

The Frederick Golden Eagles will head out to take on the Mead Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Frederick and eight for Mead.

Frederick fell victim to Niwot and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. While losing is never fun, Frederick can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 129th, while Niwot are ranked 35th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Mead was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 5-1 to Centaurus. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Mead couldn't quite close it out.

Mead's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for Frederick, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1.
