Basketball Game Preview: San Luis Sidewinders vs. Yuma Criminals

The San Luis Sidewinders just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Yuma Criminals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. San Luis' offense hasn't had much luck over their past five matchups, but Tuesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-17, which was the final score in San Luis' tilt against Chandler on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Sidewinders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while the Wolves are ranked 32nd).

Meanwhile, after soaring to 65 points the game before, Yuma was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They had to suffer through a 63-16 loss at the hands of Cibola. The Criminals' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

San Luis' loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Yuma, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2.

San Luis suffered a grim 41-21 defeat to Yuma when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can San Luis avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
