Preview: Hill City/Northland vs. Floodwood
On Friday Hill City/Northland take on Floodwood at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes : the MaxPreps national rankings predict a close match.
Hill City/Northland had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They dodged a bullet last week, finishing off Wrenshall 14-13.
Meanwhile, Floodwood had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 6-36 walloping at Mountain Iron-Buhl's hands.
Hill City/Northland's win lifted them to 1-0 while Floodwood's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Hill City/Northland's success rolls on or if Floodwood are able to steal their positive momentum.
