Football Game Preview: Chesapeake Bay Hawks vs. Loch Raven Raiders + How To Watch

The Chesapeake Bay Hawks will face off against the Loch Raven Raiders at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Chesapeake is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Chesapeake is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Towson on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Bay Hawks lost 34-14 to the Generals. The Bay Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Chesapeake's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Dakari Noble, who threw for 184 yards and two TDs on only 16 passes, and Terrell Jones, who picked up 60 receiving yards and one score.

Even if they lost, Chesapeake's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up 0.5 apiece ( Bryson Sachs, Michael Cook, Israel Bile, and Devon Gray also recorded half a sack). Bile was another major factor on D, picking up 0.5 sacks and making 11 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Loch Raven was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 18-12 to Sparrows Point. Despite 144 more yards than the Pointers, the Raiders couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Chesapeake will have to contain Cai Perry as he made an impact in Loch Raven's last game. He threw for 208 yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one TD on the ground.

Loch Raven's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Chesapeake, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Chesapeake came up short against Loch Raven when the teams last played back in September of 2024, falling 20-14. Thankfully for the Bay Hawks, Cameron Benjamin (who picked up 70 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also rushed for 70 yards) won't be suiting up this time.
