Basketball Recap: Poway Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Mya Mcgowan and Emily Farr

Poway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. Their2024 ended with a 61-45 loss against the Dana Hills Dolphins.

Poway's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Emily Farr, who posted 16 points, and Mya McGowan, who earned 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Walsh, who put up eight points.

Poway's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Dana Hills, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-12.

Poway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-52 defeat against West Hills on the 30th. As for Dana Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-40 loss against West Jordan on the 30th.
