Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ware County). They put the hurt on the Bainbridge Bearcats with a sharp 13-4 victory on Saturday. The Gators not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since September 10, 2024 (when they won 14-2).

Ware County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Bainbridge, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Ware County will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Dodge County at 1:30 p.m. As for Bainbridge, they will venture away from home to face off against Valdosta at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Bearcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
