Football Recap: Erwin Warriors vs. North Buncombe Black Hawks
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Erwin). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the North Buncombe Black Hawks 42-6. The Warriors not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 1, 2024 (when they won 56-14).
Erwin was led to victory by Caden Ingle and Jah'Baree Tolbert. Ingle threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, while Tolbert rushed for 165 yards while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Tolbert has become a key player for the Warriors: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-6 otherwise.
