Football Recap: Erwin Skates Past North Buncombe with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Erwin). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the North Buncombe Black Hawks 42-6. The Warriors not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since November 1, 2024 (when they won 56-14).

Erwin was led to victory by Caden Ingle and Jah'Baree Tolbert. Ingle threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, while Tolbert rushed for 165 yards while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Tolbert has become a key player for the Warriors: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-6 otherwise.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Erwin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 232 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Erwin's record is now 3-7. As for North Buncombe, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coming up, Erwin is taking a road trip to challenge Huss at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Buncombe does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
