Soccer Recap: Douglass Comes Up Short

Douglass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 7-0 to the Stone Mountain Pirates. The contest was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Astros it sure didn't stay that way.

Douglass' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Stone Mountain, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.

Coming up, Douglass will head out on the road to square off against North Clayton at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Douglass has given up an average of 8.4 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Stone Mountain, they will be playing at home against Stephenson at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
