Softball Recap: South Gwinnett Comes Up Short

South Gwinnett made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Heritage, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Comets fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 17-15 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Comets in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost five in a row.

South Gwinnett's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Heritage, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, South Gwinnett will look to defend their home field on Monday against Grayson at 5:00 p.m. As for Heritage, they are taking a road trip to challenge Clarke Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
