Laurel entered their tilt with Sumrall on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 14-10 W against the Bobcats. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Golden Tornadoes were the (much) better team in the second half.

Laurel's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Sumrall, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Laurel will take on rival South Jones at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sumrall is set to challenge their familiar foe North Pike at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
