Football Recap: Lake Station Edison Falls Despite Big Games from Kaden Mcneil and David Parker

After flying high against Boone Grove last Friday, Lake Station Edison came back down to earth. The Fighting Eagles fell 19-6 to the River Forest Ingots on Friday. The matchup marked the Fighting Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Lake Station Edison had strong showings from David Parker, who rushed for 139 yards and one touchdown, and Kaden McNeil, who gained 121 total yards. Parker's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 139 rushing yards.

Lake Station Edison's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3. As for River Forest, their record is now 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Station Edison will welcome Wheeler at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bearcats' defense has only allowed 10.4 points per game this season, so the Fighting Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for River Forest, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Mishawaka Marian at 7:00 p.m.
