Soccer Recap: Chowchilla Takes a Loss

After flying high against Mendota last Tuesday, Chowchilla came back down to earth. The Chowchilla Tribe took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gustine Reds on Friday. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Tribe couldn't quite close it out.

Chowchilla's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Gustine, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3-1.

Chowchilla will be home for the holidays to greet Sunnyside at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Gustine will take on Orestimba in a holiday battle at at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Gustine's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three matches.
