Soccer Game Preview: North Clayton vs. Mt. Zion

The North Clayton Eagles will square off against the Mt. Zion Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, North Clayton didn't have quite enough to beat Sandy Creek and fell 3-2.

Meanwhile, Mt. Zion entered their tilt with Stone Mountain on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. Their defense stepped up to hand the Pirates a 1-0 shutout. Mt. Zion's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five matchups.

Mt. Zion's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for North Clayton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

North Clayton might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Mt. Zion when the teams last played back in February. Can North Clayton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
