Baseball Recap: Denmark Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game, Denmark was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Forsyth Central Bulldogs by a score of 9-5. The game was the first time Denmark has beaten Forsyth Central on their field since March 27, 2023.

Caden Street looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Daniel Biondo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two doubles, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Bailey, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Denmark's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Forsyth Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Denmark will have a chance to go back-to-back against Forsyth Central: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
