Basketball Game Preview: Tustin Tillers vs. Santa Ana Saints

The Tustin Tillers will square off against the Santa Ana Saints at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Tustin has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Tustin took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Katella 62-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Tillers have posted since December 14, 2024.

Johana Holder continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 11 for 20 en route to 33 points and eight boards. Those 33 points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andrea Meza, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Tustin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Santa Ana came up short against Kennedy on Tuesday and fell 53-42.

Santa Ana has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Tustin, they pushed their record up to 13-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Tustin beat Santa Ana 33-26 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Does Tustin have another victory up their sleeve, or will Santa Ana turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
