Softball Recap: St. Cecilia Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

St. Cecilia had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against the Chadron Cardinals by a score of 8-4.

Kyler Weidner was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Tatum Hawkinson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

St. Cecilia hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive contests.

St. Cecilia's victory bumped their record up to 24-6. As for Chadron, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-14.

St. Cecilia will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cardinals: the pair will be back at it again later today.
