The Bell Griffins will head out on the road to challenge the Ron Brown Monarchs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bell will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Bell is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of District of Columbia's top teams: Anacostia, who was ranked 19th at the time (Bell was ranked tenth). The Griffins simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Indians 45-0. The Griffins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Antonio Washington went supernova, rushing for 138 yards and one score on only 11 carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jorden Carter, who picked up 70 receiving yards and one touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 283 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.
Bell didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Meco Beamon and Jakari Graham. Beamon got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Ron Brown, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They strolled past Cardozo with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 32-14. The win continues a trend for the Monarchs in their matchups with the Clerks: they've now won six in a row.
Bell better keep an eye on Davieon Brown. He was instrumental in Ron Brown's win, throwing for 177 yards and five TDs.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Ron Brown's defense and their four sacks. Tariq Brown was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.
The victory got Ron Brown back to even at 3-3. As for Bell, their record is now 6-2.
Everything came up roses for Bell against Ron Brown in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 36-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Griffins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
