Baseball Recap: Westwood Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Westwood can now relate to. They came up short against the Citizens Christian Academy Patriots on Thursday, falling 8-2. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost six in a row.

Westwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Roberts, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Westwood's defeat dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Citizens Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7-2 record this season.

While Westwood had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
