Baseball Recap: Jefferson County Comes Up Short

Jefferson County lost against Bleckley County last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Jefferson County Warriors lost 9-2 to the Bleckley County Royals. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jefferson County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Duncan, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Jefferson County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Bleckley County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Coming up, Jefferson County will face off against Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bleckley County, they will challenge West Laurens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bleckley County's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so West Laurens' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
