Cibola came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Centennial Hawks by a score of 66-57. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hawks, too.

Cibola's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Coming up, Cibola won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Las Cruces at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Bulldawgs have now posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. As for Centennial, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Montwood at 3:00 p.m. on the 30th.
