Soccer Game Preview: Union Mine vs. Amador

The Union Mine Diamondbacks will take on the Amador Buffaloes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Union Mine's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Union Mine fell victim to Rosemont and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines.

Meanwhile, Amador was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to Galt. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 966th, while the Warriors are ranked 414th).

Amador's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Union Mine, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2-2.

Union Mine skirted past Amador 1-0 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Union Mine repeat their success, or does Amador have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
