Preview: California City Ravens vs. Kern Valley Broncs
California City has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Kern Valley Broncs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. California City comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for California City, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 41-24 loss to Mammoth.
Kern Valley has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 58-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rosamond on Friday.
California City bumped their record down to 0-9 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Kern Valley, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.
California City was dealt a bruising 58-28 loss at the hands of Kern Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Thankfully for California City, Brookelynn Gallis (who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
