Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Azul Cervantez and Shaya Jangula Lead Hamilton to Victory

Hamilton won the last time they faced Bethel Christian and things went their way on Saturday too. The Hamilton Bobcats were the clear victor by a 51-31 margin over the Bethel Christian Kings. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Hamilton was led to victory by Shaya Jangula and Azul Cervantez. Jangula posted 20 points, while Cervantez scored 20 points. With that strong performance, Cervantez is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game.

Bethel Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leah Lopez, who earned two points in addition to 13 boards and four steals.

Hamilton's record now sits at 9-7. As for Bethel Christian, they dropped their record down to 5-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Hamilton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-42 loss against Temecula Prep on the 29th. As for Bethel Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 31-6 win against Crossroads Christian on the 28th.
