Soccer Recap: Ridgeview Triumphs

Ridgeview pushed their score to 11 the last time they played Shafter, but on Thursday they couldn't quite do it again. The Ridgeview Wolf Pack never let the Shafter Generals onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolf Pack also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.

Jasmine Gonzalez-Romo and Isabella Gutierrez scored both of Ridgeview's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Ridgeview now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Shafter, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 1-1-2.

Ridgeview will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Highland at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Shafter, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 6-0 loss against Garces Memorial on the 12th.
