Basketball Game Preview: Woodbridge Warriors vs. Sage Hill Lightning

Woodbridge hasn't had much luck against Sage Hill recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Woodbridge Warriors will head out to challenge the Sage Hill Lightning at 5:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Woodbridge is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game last Saturday. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-40 heartbreaker at the hands of Whittier Christian.

Meanwhile, Sage Hill ended up a good deal behind Fairmont Prep on Saturday and lost 63-46.

Sage Hill has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Woodbridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Woodbridge was dealt a bruising 72-32 defeat at the hands of Sage Hill in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Woodbridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
