Soccer Game Preview: Denison-Schleswig vs. Logan-Magnolia

The Denison-Schleswig Monarchs will head out on the road to face off against the Logan-Magnolia Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Denison-Schleswig is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Denison-Schleswig didn't have quite enough to beat Lewis Central and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Logan-Magnolia made sure to put some goals up on the board against Missouri Valley on Monday. They put the hurt on the Big Reds with a sharp 7-1 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Logan-Magnolia's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Denison-Schleswig now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Logan-Magnolia, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Denison-Schleswig took their victory against Logan-Magnolia in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Monarchs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
