Football Game Preview: Northgate Vikings vs. Morrow Mustangs

The Northgate Vikings will challenge the Morrow Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Northgate has six straight victories, Morrow has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Northgate got the win against McIntosh by a conclusive 35-14. Considering the Vikings have won three games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Woody Schettini produced another solid performance rushing for 278 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. Those 278 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Xavier King was another key player, picking up 47 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Meanwhile, Morrow had to suffer through a 40-6 loss at the hands of Lovejoy. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 336th, while the Wildcats are ranked 63rd).

Morrow's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Northgate, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.
