Football Recap: Grulla Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Grulla and Sinton squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Grulla had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Pirates 71-7. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1183rd, while the Pirates are ranked 155th).

Jaythan Salinas threw for 141 yards and one touchdown. Ivan Villarreal was his top target, picking up 91 receiving yards and one TD.

Mykha Green continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sinton, rushing for 171 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries. Green is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 171 every time he's taken the field this season. Sean Hughes was in the mix as well, providing Sinton with two TDs.

Grulla is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9. As for Sinton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

As of now, neither Grulla nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
