Basketball Recap: Lourdes Catholic Takes a Loss

After flying high against Valley Union last Monday, Lourdes Catholic came back down to earth. The Lourdes Catholic Warriors fell 75-65 to the Ray Bearcats on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Bearcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Ray's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Chester, who went 6-for-15 to rack up 20 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The match was Chester's seventh in a row with at least 15 points. Seth Wade was another key player, going 7-for-16 on his way to 18 points and six boards.

Lourdes Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Ray, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-13 record this season.

Lourdes Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-24 win against Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind on the 4th. Ray does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
