Basketball Game Preview: Mira Loma Matadors vs. Center Cougars

Mira Loma is 0-6 against Center since November of 2014 but things could change on Wednesday. The Mira Loma Matadors are taking a road trip to challenge the Center Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.

Mira Loma is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game on Monday. They were beaten by Rio Linda 63-14. While losing is never fun, the Matadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1160th, while the Knights are ranked 248th).

Meanwhile, Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Colfax and fell 71-23.

Center's defeat dropped their record down to 5-22. As for Mira Loma, their loss dropped their record down to 3-22.

Mira Loma was taken down by Center 66-6 in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Center's Kailee Coggins, who went 8 for 12 on her way to 20 points in addition to eight steals and five rebounds. Now that Mira Loma knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
