Soccer Game Preview: Wilson vs. Covina

The Wilson Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Covina Colts at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wilson will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Wilson's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Northview 6-0.

Meanwhile, Covina has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 20. They came up short against Charter Oak on Monday, falling 6-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Colts were already down 4-0.

Wilson's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those six contests. As for Covina, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10-1.

Wilson took their win against Covina in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 11-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wilson since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
