Softball Game Preview: Burke Bulldogs vs. Omaha Central Eagles

The Burke Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Omaha Central Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Burke and four for Omaha Central.

Burke came up short against Bryan on Thursday, falling 13-7.

Lainey Prisbelle made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in two of her five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Millard West hit Omaha Central with a four-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles lost 8-0 to the Wildcats.

Omaha Central's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Burke, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-17.

Burke suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Omaha Central in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
