Soccer Recap: M.L. King Takes a Loss

After flying high against Creekside last Wednesday, M.L. King came back down to earth. The Lions came up short against the Midtown Knights on Friday, falling 10-0. One thing that didn't help M.L. King's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Jeremiah Malloy.

M.L. King dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Midtown, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. M.L. King will venture away from home to take on Stone Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Midtown, they will head out to face off against Greater Atlanta Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Greater Atlanta Christian will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Midtown surely won't give up without a fight.
