Football Recap: Oswego Piles Up the Points Against Sedan

There's no place like home for Oswego, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They claimed a resounding 54-24 victory over the Sedan Devils. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won six contests by 30 points or more so far this season.

Oswego didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Deonta Williamson and Demitri Williamson. Demitri is also crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season.

Despite the loss, Sedan still got an impressive performance from Ethan Zimmerman, who rushed for 103 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 81 yards and a pair of TDs. Lincoln Dowell was another key player, gaining 52 total yards and two touchdowns.

Oswego's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.7 points. As for Sedan, they moved to 4-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Oswego and Sedan are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Indians will take on Chase County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oswego will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Sedan, they will challenge Madison/Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
