Recap: St. Lucy's Regents vs. Calvary Baptist Cougars
On Monday, everything went St. Lucy's's way against Calvary Baptist as St. Lucy's made off with a 43-19 victory. With St. Lucy's ahead 29-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
St. Lucy's got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kira Carroll out in front who scored 6 points along with 13 steals. Carroll hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Stella Yegge, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for St. Lucy's and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Calvary Baptist, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing New Harvest Christian the next time they take the court. Calvary Baptist will host New Harvest Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while St. Lucy's will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
