Soccer Game Preview: Head-Royce vs. International + Official Tickets

The Head-Royce Jayhawks will face off against the International Jaguars at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Head-Royce sitting on four straight victories and International on three.

Head-Royce is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of California's top teams: Bentley, who was ranked tenth at the time (Head-Royce was ranked first). The Jayhawks blew past the Phoenix 5-1 last Thursday. Considering Head-Royce have won nine matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Bentley with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ibrahim Rashad (2), Kyle Chan, Valentin Robert, and Kellen Tomimoto.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, International rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Warriors 2-1.

International's win bumped their record up to 11-5-3. As for Head-Royce, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.

Head-Royce took their win against International in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jayhawks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
