Soccer Recap: Athenian Finds Home Pitch Redemption Against St. Joseph Notre Dame

There's no place like home for Athenian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past the St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots 3-0 on Monday. The score was close at the half, but the Owls pulled away in the second half with two goals.

They hit St. Joseph Notre Dame with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Audrey Shotland, Luiza Do Val Callao, and Mina Katzev.

Athenian's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for St. Joseph Notre Dame, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Athenian wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Making Waves Academy on the 14th. As for St. Joseph Notre Dame, they will face off against Head-Royce at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Head-Royce will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something St. Joseph Notre Dame surely won't give up without a fight.
