Soccer Recap: Vaughn Comes Up Short

The matchup between Vaughn and East Valley on Saturday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Vaughn White Tigers came up short against the East Valley Falcons, falling 8-0. The White Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Vaughn's loss dropped their record down to 3-8-1. As for East Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.

Vaughn has already played their next match (against Fulton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. East Valley will square off against Sherman Oaks CES at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. Sherman Oaks CES's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
