Softball Game Preview: Macon Tigers vs. Highland Cougars

The Macon Tigers will challenge the Highland Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Highland will be up against a hot Macon squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Tigers put the hurt on Westran with a sharp 17-2 win on Monday. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Highland faced off against Palmyra on Monday. The Cougars blew past the Panthers 12-2. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Macon's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Highland, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.

Macon was able to grind out a solid win over Highland when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 7-2. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
