Football Recap: North Marion Takes a Loss

North Marion lost against Fort White back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Colts were just a hair shy of victory and fell 41-40 to the Indians.

MATTHEW PITTS was a one-man wrecking crew For Fort White. as he rushed for 84 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 197 yards and two TDs. PITTS got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 66 yards. Fort White also got help from JAYDEN JACKSON, who showed off his sure hands for 121 receiving yards.

North Marion now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Fort White, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, North Marion will be playing at home against Crescent City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort White, they are taking a road trip to square off against Fernandina Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' defense has only allowed 9.8 points per game this season, so the Indians' offense will have their work cut out for them.
