Softball Recap: 21 Straight Home Victories for Chandler

Chandler owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They blew past the Kingston Redskins 7-0. The Lions' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three contests.

Kingston's batters probably weren't too happy with Kennedy Allen, who pitched a no hitter and racked up nine Ks (she gave up zero walks).

On the hitting side, Chandler's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brenlee Corea, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. Ruthie Capps was another, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Chandler hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters every time they've taken the field this season.

Chandler pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Kingston, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Chandler has already played their next matchup, a 14-3 victory against Bishop Kelley on the 15th. As for Kingston, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Sapulpa on the 16th.
