Football Game Preview: Richard Montgomery Rockets vs. Sherwood Warriors + How To Watch

The Richard Montgomery Rockets will challenge the Sherwood Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Richard Montgomery will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Richard Montgomery took a 24-point defeat the last time they faced off against Rockville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rockets won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Rams 27-26. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Rockets were the better team in the second half.

Richard Montgomery's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Webster, who threw for 304 yards and four TDs. Webster is becoming a predictor of the Rockets' success: when he posts at least 250 passing yards the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Gerard Woods Jr, who picked up 127 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Sherwood gave up the first points on Thursday, but they didn't give up any more after. Everything went their way against Damascus as they made off with a 28-7 win. Considering the Warriors have won six matchups by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Sherwood's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Richard Montgomery, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Richard Montgomery barely slipped by Sherwood when the teams last played back in September of 2018, winning 21-20. Do the Rockets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
