Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sumner-Fredericksburg). They never let the South Winneshiek Warriors get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the third in a row for Sumner-Fredericksburg, bringing their record up to 12-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for South Winneshiek, they now have a losing record of 14-15.

Coming up, Sumner-Fredericksburg will take on Turkey Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Winneshiek, they will host Clayton-Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
